Your health will be shaped by the choices you make.
I'm sure you've heard the statement, 'We are creatures of habit.' That statement is true in many ways but has pros and cons. On the bright side, many of the positive habits you've built, such as brushing your teeth, you haven't had to think about doing for over a decade. And that's great because your oral health is significant. While some habits, such as eating breakfast, may not come easy.
Could it be because the benefits don't seem so apparent? Possibly true.
Many of the choices we make on a daily basis could be leading to a flourishing baseline of future health or creating underlying issues that cause headaches and heartache for the future you. We must consider these things if we want to have a good quality of life from now on. Aspects of your longevity and quality of life are dependent on how you are currently living.
Ponder this...
I'm positive you've gone one day in your life thus far when you didn't brush your teeth or possibly forgot to. Do you remember when you licked your teeth and realized how grimy they felt? Now imagine you went a few more days or weeks. Your oral health would depreciate fairly quickly, I'd imagine. This happens to aspects of our physical health when we don't sleep enough, eat enough, or even move enough during the week.
Over time, this all amounts to something within our health, especially our internal health. Remember that when things start to show on the outside of the body, the inside has already been affected.
That could be positive or negative. Regardless of which side it leans to, consider how your choices affect your health.
